Pearl smiled warmly and nodded, pressing her face into the shorter female’s hair as she closed her eyes softly. “I’ve missed you so much too…..It was too long my friend.”
The ocean’s breath in her skin, the tender handswarm of a mother’s embrace.
“My princess… Pearl, where have you been?”
“I went into a slumber to protect the ocean….if I had waited much longer I would have had to pass on to save it as a whole…I didn’t say anything because I didnt want anyone trying to stop me…” she spoke softly, knowing she had worried her friend and might’ve hurt her in some way.
Releasing an almost ear-shattering squeal, Kaibara fairly launched herself into the arms of her friend, latching her own arms around Pearl’s waist.She then proceeded an attempt to squeeze all of the affection that had suddenly welled up within her into Pearl.
“Pearl I missed you so much!!” tilting her head back to meet Pearl’s eyes, she beamed a smile with the force of a thousand suns up at her goddess of a friend, “Life has been at a loss for beauty since you’ve been away!”
Pearl beamed with happiness as she hugged Kaibara back tightly and gave the beautiful woman a kiss on her cheek. “Oh Kaibara, darling, its been all too long. I’m sure life did just fine with you being here to make the place pretty.” she smiled and held her friend at arms length to take her visage in.
“I missed you as well. Going into that slumber to revive the ocean took so many years away from me, I was half worried some of my friends wouldn’t exist anymore once I awoke!”
Pearl beamed and ran into her lover’s arms, hugging the human man tightly. “Oh, Joseph…I’ve missed you so much. My darling I hope you haven’t lost interest in me in my absence.” she held his face in her hands and kissed him tenderly.
